Step One Picking a Platform: When choosing any gun, you must feel comfortable about your platform based on its functions and the movements that it will require, as well as the comfort of shooting. Anyone can use any airsoft gun, but to be comfortable with your weapon of choice is paramount.  For example, an M4 uses a straight forward reloading process using a button release, while that typically do not have an ambidextrous selector switch. So if choosing an M4 pick what best suites you are a player, maybe your left handed and don’t like the single button magazine releases, so you pick a MP5 because it can be easily reloaded and has an ambidextrous selector switch. Picking a weapon that is comfortable in function can aid you when in the field and under a very stressful situation, the less struggling and issue you have with the little things the more concentration you can put to dominating the game. If you get a chance go to the Airsoft Shop and get a feel for the different types of guns and their functions, as AK’s and M4″s are very different having their own strengths and weaknesses.

Step Two Quality Guns for You: Airsoft guns, Airsoft guns and more Airsoft Guns, with so many choices of not only types but brands of airsoft guns it helps to know a little bit about some of the companies and their product. There are a lot of good airsoft guns out in the market, but many times it is hard to find the “good” guns while so many guns that shoot are clouding the market, and the “good” gun for you might be different from the “good” gun of someone else solely because of where they are at as an airsofter. If you are a beginner airsoft or just looking to get into the field and give it a try the inexpensive but competitive airsoft guns for example of JG and CYMA are a great choices, a low price to get some field time spending money on BBs instead of your gun. Also, these Airsoft guns are typically very competitive out of the box and will give you competitive play, but for a more experienced airsofter these guns may lack the “tactical” factor that will allow a more experienced airsofter to make the gun their own.  If you fall into this category you could be better off with a brand that allows for manipulation such as for example ICS, KWA or Classic Army. These are very competitive airsoft guns and though they have a higher price you are directly paying for the quality of the gun and its fixtures/ functions.

Step Three Technical Advice: Lastly when picking your next airsoft gun consider all the different types of gun from a brand, they all have a variation of some sort whether that is battery location for function or a external feature this can help you get the right airsoft gun for you.  Maybe you plan on playing a lot of airsoft, a metal body is a great choice for if you are going to play alot because they will take more wear than most composite bodies, but they are also more weighty. This is where a lot of yourself and personal preference must come into making a decision as there is no right or wrong, just what is more right for you. Again, if you are looking for more specific examples of these features you should visit the Airsoft Shop, to get a feel for some of the guns features.

Platform, Brand, Specific gun. This process works very well for finding back round information on any gun not just AEG’s you can also use this to find other guns for your load out. The research and experience of those that have already paid their dues to find the “perfect” airsoft gun for them is invaluable.   Hopefully with this process you you can find the gun that best fits you, without too many issues and hard decisions to make with the knowledge and experience from Fox Airsoft | The Ultimate Airsoft Store.
